I'm currently working on the third installment in the HEART OF THE DRAGON series, THE DRAGON'S DALLY. This steamy bit of fantasy romance focuses on the growing relationship between Princess Tania and the Water Dragon.
If you have read the second book, THE DRAGON'S DEN, you will remember that Patryck was a sexual deviant. He still is. But this time, Tania wishes to know his carnal cravings even though she has pledged herself to Aristo. Sleeping with another dragon might just be the end for her...or at least, the end of her relationship with Aristo. What would he do when he finds out?
Although I only have the first chapter available, I'm able to give you an excerpt! Enjoy!
“How many times have you been chained?” Patryck
asked Tania as he held her hand in her father’s dark, dank dungeon.
Tania shrugged off the question. She wasn’t particularly fond of discussing
her father’s abuse to anyone. If she
hadn’t still carried the scars of several harsh beatings, no one would ever
suspect. She swallowed and replied, “Now
is not the time, Patryck. We have to get
out of here before the guards return,” she licked her lips and eyed the
dungeon. The foul stench of molding
straw and human waste filled her nostrils.
She almost gagged. She should
have been accustomed to the odor because she had been thrown in her father’s
dungeon on numerous occasions. She
gritted her teeth, “We have to find Aristo.”
She was more determined than ever before to rescue
her love. She had stood up to her
father, King Polas, a mere few moments ago and she was riding the adrenaline
rush. Had she paused to deliberate on
her past actions, she would have been amazed that she had found the courage to
oppose him. Little good it did her,
though. She and Patryck were now in the
dungeon—lost and filthy.
Tania glanced at Patryck who waited for her
command. He was a very young
dragon. His wings hadn’t fully developed
but his sense of procreation had. Tania
wondered if he would be any help here at all.
His mind was constantly focused on carnal desires.
Patryck brushed back his very blonde hair that
mimicked wave crests as his hand morphed into water. As the last Water Dragon, Patryck could
easily shift into the liquid without needing a special source in order to do
so. Aristo, on the other hand, could only
shift when the moon was shining and Stephen could only shift when the sun
shone. Tania needed to know why that
was.
First things first—she needed to rescue Aristo. She had done so before. He had called to her and she had found the
love of her life. But no matter how much
she strained, she could not hear him.
Tania squeezed her eyes shut and felt around the
dark with her senses. Perhaps if all
other senses were quiet, she could find her way to Aristo. After a few moments, she stomped her foot and
gave up. Aristo was silent.
“Where do we go?” Patryck asked.
Tania ignored him.
She did not have an answer for him.
She had assumed Aristo would be in the dungeon like before but perhaps
she was wrong.
“We need to look through every cell,” she finally
replied.
Patryck’s eyebrow jutted into his forehead, “How
many cells are there?”
Tania shook her head, “Several.”
“We better get started.”
