COMING JULY 2013!

Meet Lord Brynt, descendant of Lord Aristo from the HEART OF THE DRAGON Series.  Lord Brynt is nothing like his ancestor--he is not impulsive but rather acts on strategy and intelligence.  The one thing that he has in common with Lord Aristo is his devilishly dark good looks.  Brynt has dark eyes and very dark hair.  He is the spitting image of his ancestor.

Here is an excerpt featuring the hero of AWAKEN.  Enjoy!

Slowly, Brynt’s large hands glided down her forearms and reached around her again, this time around her waist.  He pulled her closer against himself and situated her on his lap.  His lips were eager to taste her, to kiss her, to lick her.  Everything that he had remembered, he had forgotten.  The only thing that mattered right now was loving the woman in front of him.  She felt the same.  Her arms and hands slicked over his firm back as she straddled him.  There was no penetration just yet, just the liquid hum of her moans cascading into his.

Yes, that's an evil little tid bit.  But we have to move on! :-D

Drum roll, please!  This is man who needs no introduction but if I don't introduce him, what would be the point?  Meet the Dragon Lord Damon!  Damon is the furthest thing from a hero--he's impulsive, chauvinistic, and rude.  There is nothing to like.  Damon is the brother of Brynt  and the descendant of Lord Aristo.  Although he is a cad in this book, in book 3, he will be redeemed!  It will be so much fun to watch him grow into a strong and wise man.

Here's an excerpt with Damon.  Enjoy!

Damon scratched the back of his neck and pulled on the reins of his roan horse.  The horse whinnied slightly and begrudgingly trotted.  All of the horses, Damon noticed, were not moving.  Instead, their large black eyes kept staring into the dark forest as if they knew a predator was watching them.  Their ears pricked in the direction of the woods.  Several of them huffed loudly.  They were on edge.  They were nervous.  They were scared.

Damon took a deep breath and kept one eye on the horses.  Animals were always the first to know when a storm was coming, when an attack was inevitable.  He would watch them, and let them serve as a warning bell.

Scary stuff!  Our next Lord doesn't appear until Book 2 but he is well worth the wait!  Let's meet Baric, the last of the Dragon Elite Mechante, a warrior unlike any other.  Although he is not a Lord, his lineage is well known. He is the descendant of Lord Stephan.  Baric has led a rough life--he was abandoned in the Sewers at a very young age and forced to grow up the hard way.  But he overcame his tribulations and grew into a powerful, loyal, and intelligent warrior.  He would never betray his country until he meets Isbet, who becomes the wife of Lord Brynt.  He would die a traitor's death if he acted on his desires but he knows kissing Isbet would be worth it.

Here is an excerpt from Book 2, Coming in March 2013!

Baric turned around to face the fire.  She was worthy of being a Dragon Elite Mechante but he had darker, ulterior motives for asking her.  He never wanted her to leave his side.  It was a very selfish thing to do but he couldn’t help himself.  He wanted to always have her near.  If he couldn’t touch her, then he would not lose fighting alongside her.  He would not lose her to politics and rules of the Court.  He never wanted her change and if she remained with those snotty Nobles, she would.  Their stink rubs off on even the pure of heart.
He never wanted to see Isbet fall to that.  And, of course, he loved her.  He didn’t know if he ever wanted to live without her.  He had fallen for her in such a short amount of time that he almost believed she had put a spell on him.  It was a crazy notion to love a Queen but the heart does not understand titles or morals.  The heart only knows what it feels.

The Werewolf William can be found in my FREE Read, FORBIDDEN HEARTS.  Dedicated to his elf lover, Misty, he is a determined fighter and determined lover.  Nothing will ever keep him from his love.  William will be introduced in Book 3 of the Dragon Lords.

Excerpt:

Several wolves howled in the distance as the moon lingered in the black sky.  William listened intently to the baying but just as he heard their cries, the soft pitter-patter of Misty's heart stole his focus.  The hunting wolves could wait...
He pulled her flush against himself as he restrained his eager muscles.  He mustn't rush this perfect moment.  Spending time with Misty was a rarity and he would not recklessly abandon this time.  Instead, he would savor every touch and every kiss as if it were their last.

Our next hero is introduced in Book 2.  Hawke, the assassin who can shift into a...hawk!  He enjoys being anonymous.  Money, skill, and deception are his trades.  However, we he meets Isbet, he knows what he must do!  He would follow her through hell and back just to touch her!

Excerpt:
“We have need of your services,” the Mezgure growled for he could do nothing else with teeth that sharp and long.
Hawke gestured no with his hands even as his two ‘guards’ shot him hairy eyeballs, “I never agree to a job without first hearing the specifics.  Kittens and children are off limits.”
The Mezgure growled again as per usual and finally uncrossed his arms.  He nodded slightly, “Then you will accept this offer.”
“Elaborate.”
“There is a woman…”
“Ah, the same old tale of a miserable lover who was most dastardly betrayed by his best friend.  You saw your woman in bed with another and revenge is wet on your tongue…”
“If you don’t stop talking, a tongue will be the first to go.  Understand?”
“You would cut out the tongue of a future partner? Tsk, tsk, the ladies would not appreciate you if you were to do that…”

The Blood Knight Merrick has fallen hard for the Mage Julia.  Theirs is a forbidden love but Merrick would betray his country for her.  Merrick is found by Isbet in Book 4 and helps her destroy Narcil.  He and Julia have their own short story coming out when Book 4 is released.

Excerpt:

Each time he saw her, his heart would race to near exploding and he would have to look away or, what he had been doing lately, run away.  He felt cowardly running away from her, but to stay in her sight would make his head burst.
He wiped a few beads of sweat from his brow and clamped the gray iron helmet on.  His entire body was covered in gray iron armor.  He hated the confining nature of the armor, but the armor was necessary for survival.  The iron would reflect any spells or magic cast his way thus saving his life.  As a Blood Knight, it was his duty to watch the mages and make sure their magic did not escape themselves.  Mages are powerful and dangerous creatures and they need to be kept in constant check.  If anyone of them were to mispronounce a word, a syllable, or even a tone, the tower would go up in flames. He could be thankful, however, that he didn’t have to watch the apprentice mages.  That was the truly dangerous aspect of being a Blood Knight.  He did not envy his fellow Knights that particular position, although sometimes the very idea of being with live-wire minors was more appealing than looking after his ward, Julia.
He loved her.  That’s all there is to it but his vows, and hers, forbade any romantic entanglements between a Blood Knight and a Mage.  He swore to protect innocent civilians by keeping a rein on mages, swore to be married to his duties, and like a priest, swore to cast off earthly desires in order to focus on his obligations.

What would this compendium be without the ultimate baddie?  Narcil, the Dark Fire Dragon who has been consumed by hatred.  Does he have the chance at redemption?  Will he ever change or is it his destiny to die?

No Excerpt Needed.  Narcil can be found everywhere including THE HEART OF THE DRAGON SERIES which shows how he became so filled with hate.

  2. Hi! Thank you so much for asking! I am thrilled you love the stories!
As you may or may not know, Book 2 of THE DRAGON LORDS, Betrayal, was supposed to be released March of this year, but I have had to push back the date. I'm hoping for a release date in July but I can't promise that. I can say it was complete at one point, but I have decided to change a few things--namely the ending. It was a debate for me who should be the hero of Betrayal. In one draft, it was Brynt, in the other it was Baric. It went back and forth for quite a while. I should just stick to my guns and go with the original ending, but that ending always has me sobbing and I'm not sure if I want the ending to Betrayal to be that heartbreaking :-) I hope I have answered your question and thank you so much for stopping by!!!
